COVID-19: We’re still here for you

Hi friends,

Laura here - hope you’re all staying safe and healthy out there during these uncertain times. I’ve shared this in our newsletter and on social media, but I want to keep you updated and make sure you know that our online shop is still open and we're here for you.

As you may know, Vacilando is a very small, remote team of three and we've always worked from home (and are already quite comfortable with social distancing) and we plan on continuing to make and ship your orders for as long as we're able to. We're washing our hands regularly and keeping our workspaces clean, having supplies and materials delivered instead of venturing out of the house, and are implementing the USPS package pick up service to save a trip to the post office.

Our current production timelines may be slightly longer than usual as we’re experiencing delays throughout our supply chain (and we’re all emotionally managing this whole pandemic situation), but for the most part, expect the following lead times:

• Quilts: 4 - 6 weeks

• Pillows and Wall Quilts: 2 - 3 weeks

• Quilt Coats: 8 - 12 weeks

Things may change in the coming weeks, but we’ll let you know if we expect further delays or if products become unavailable.

Please note that USPS is also experiencing delays and longer shipping times, so it may take a bit longer than usual for your order to arrive once it ships. And because we’ve noticed extended delays on international shipments outside of North America, we won’t be offering worldwide shipping at this time.

I know there are much bigger things going on in the world right now, but having beautiful useful objects in our homes (aka our whole world these days) can bring some much needed joy and comfort to daily life. Especially quilts - I've always associated quilts with the warm fuzzy feelings of family and home. The simple act of wrapping myself up in a quilt gives me a sense of comfort and safety when I need it most.

Your choice to support Vacilando during this time means the world to us - as a super small business, we don't have the luxury of paid time off, so every single order is keeping Vacilando alive. Whether it's a quilt or pillow to make your home a little cozier or a quilt pattern to learn a new hobby and keep you occupied + creative while you're social distancing, we truly appreciate it!
